[4 tips] to market your biz for July 4th


If you're like most of us, July 4th has crept up on you. Here are some ways to take advantage of business marketing before, during, and after the holiday:

1. THROW A PARTY/BAR-B-QUE
Everyone loves a good summer BBQ. If you have the room, host a party at your place of business. Cater or provide grills, hamburgers, and hot dogs for your guests. Don't forget to advertise on your website as well as social networks!

2. PARTNER WITH ANOTHER COMPANY
Not enough room at your office? Partner with another company close by and share their space. You can help each other by cross-marketing!

3. JOIN A PARADE, FAIR OR FESTIVAL
Set up a booth, create a float, or just hand out small gifts to passersby. With the warmer weather, custom-labeled bottled water is always a good handout to have. Just make sure to check with event organizers first before handing out your own items!

4. GIVEAWAY SOMETHING FUN
Even if you don't plan on hosting a large party, a fun giveaway is always a neat way to get people involved. Start a contest at your office, or have people "check-in" (Facebook, Google Maps, Yelp, for example) to enter. Host the drawing right before or right after the holiday - people will be thrilled!

While the gift doesn't have to be related to your business, it's always best to keep customers coming back. If you're a spa, for example, why not giveaway essential oils? Or a 20 minute hand massage? Or in keeping with the theme, giveaway sparklers or a small fireworks kit.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you advertise!
